Jo Smith – Coach & Club Official

I learned to swim at Marlborough ASA in 1971, when the club operated from the town’s open air pool. I operated as a Club Instructor as an young adult as well as competing for the club for several years. I have been a Club committee member in the past.

I have continued to be active in swimming for fitness and fun and since retiring early, I have supported the club as a swimming Judge (J2) and as a poolside helper for the Learn to Swim programme. I have taken the Assistant Coach qualification and by the end of the year, I hope to be a fully qualified Swim coach.

I still swim regularly both in the pool and in open water.
