Club Championships – 29-30 June

Please save the date for our annual Club Championships – 29 & 30th June!

We’ve attached here our meet Entry Pack so you can start to select races. Please use the individual links that have been emailed out to select which events to take part in. (If you have not received an email then please speak to a coach.)

For those who haven’t attended previously, our Club Championships are run solely for members of the Marlborough Penguins Swimming Club. As a result it is a very friendly and relaxed competition offering those swimmers who haven’t competed before an opportunity to do so, and our more experienced swimmers the perfect opportunity to have go at races they may not have previously swum.

The Club Championships are open to all swimmers, young and old, that can swim 1 x 25m length of any, or all of the strokes. We are encouraging swimmers to enter as many events as possible.

If you haven’t swum a race before then why not have a go!

Those swimmers that train in lengths are encouraged to enter a minimum of 1 x 25m and 1 x 50m of all four of strokes (i.e. front crawl, back stroke, breaststroke and butterfly) as well as the 100m Individual Medley.

We also welcome those swimmers who swim in widths classes and we would encourage them to enter a minimum of 1 x 25m length of any of the strokes and 1 x 50m of their best stroke(s). However please speak to your child/children’s teacher to agree your entries beforehand, so we can ensure our youngest swimmers enter races appropriate to their age and ability.
